Q: How long has this church existed?
A: Northeast held its first service on January 11, 2004.
Q: How does Northeast Christian Church relate to other churches and denominations?
A: We have chosen to emphasize what we have in common with other Christian groups rather than debate about our differences. We try to be “Christians only” and believe that no particular group is designated by God as “the only Christians”. We are non-denominational.
Q: How is your church governed? Who’s in charge? How are you organized?
A: Our church is directed by elders, who are servant/leaders.
Q: How can I learn more about what this church believes?
A: Our statement of faith is available on this website.
Q: I have been attending Northeast Christian Church, and would like to become involved, but I am not a member. Are non-members permitted to volunteer?
A: Some volunteer positions require membership, but there are opportunities for service for those who have not yet joined the church. We would love to have you, and volunteering is a great way to get to know our family here at Northeast better.
Q: What do you teach about baptism? Would I have to be baptized again in order to be a member here?
A: Baptism is a “promise made to God from a good conscience” (1 Peter 3:21). We urge all believers to be baptized (immersed) as a public demonstration of their desire to put their faith in Jesus. Those who have already been baptized before coming to Northeast don’t need to be baptized again. For those who are not, we’d consider it a privilege to be part of this important step.
Q: What are the steps I need to take? How do I become a member?
A: Attend our Basic Training class, sign a membership covenant, show commitment to Northeast Christian Church and be willing to grow.
Q: What if I’m not sure yet? How can I get my questions and concerns answered?
A: Feel free to contact one of our leaders at your convenience by email , snail mail, or phone.

Q: Can non-members attend Bible classes and small groups?
A: Yes, we encourage everyone to participate in these studies.
Q: I would like to join a Bible study class, what would you recommend?
A: We offer a Sunday morning Bible study for all ages from 9:00 am to 9:45 am. We also offer small group Bible studies during the week. Please check our Small Group listings for locations and times.
Q: Can I participate in the communion service even though I am not a member?
A: Yes, anyone who is a committed believer in Christ can join us in celebrating communion.
Q: What now?
A: Remain obedient. Read your Bible, pray daily, join others in worship to grow your faith and serve God by using your unique gifts.
